About Me

My name is Denise Baines. I am a mother of five, happily married for 30 years and living in Great Dunmow.

I am an OFSTED Registered Childminder, rated as ‘Outstanding’ in every aspect during my OFSTED Inspection.

After raising my own children, and really enjoying this, I decided that I wanted to commence work again and that becoming a Registered Childminder would be ideal for me as I love children and wanted to work from home.

I felt – and still do – that my experience in raising my own five children enables me to appreciate fully the effects on children and parents from the everyday ups and downs of family life. 

I became a Registered Childminder in March 2004 and decided that I wanted to become as well qualified as possible to ensure that I could provide the best quality service for the children in my care.

Accordingly I undertook numerous additional training courses and after attending a variety of courses and seminars I became an Accredited Network Childminder in 2005.

Being an Accredited Childminder means that I am authorised to provide funded sessions for the younger children

I am also a PACEY (Professional Association of Childcare and Early Years) Ambassador.

Qualifications…

I am committed to continually developing my skills and expertise and as part of this I undertake regular training courses across all aspects of child care. 

Over the past few years I have undertaken and successfully passed three major childminding qualifications:- 

• Introducing Childminding Practice (Council for Awards in Children’s Care & Education) 

• Developing Childminding Practice (Council for Awards in Children’s Care & Education) 

• Extending Childminding Practice (Council for Awards in Children’s Care & Education)
